In spite of squeezed budgets and hard economic times, the company partners which are such an important part of CoRIPS – the College of Radiographers Industry Partnership Scheme – continue to support the vital research projects.
“We are grateful to industry for its ongoing commitment to the scheme, particularly when money is so tight,” says Richard Evans, the College’s chief executive officer.
“The stories in this edition of CoRIPS Update will give you a flavour of the activity which has been going on in recent months. Without the support of the companies named below, the scheme couldn’t fund such a broad range of research projects.”

The CoR is looking for more businesses to develop partnerships with that have an interest in diagnostic imaging and radiation oncology. The aim is to deliver benefits to both the profession and to industry by providing support for research and education.
More than 24,000 radiography practitioners are members of the College, some 80 per cent of the profession.
This is your opportunity to collaborate with them and have unrivalled access to the knowledge, experience and expertise within the central organisation and throughout the membership.
The College has a key role in the approval and accreditation of education programmes - graduate and postgraduate - and in the advancement of professional practice standards. Participation in the partnership scheme can be a key element of a company’s corporate social responsibility programme as a benefactor of health care research.
“Believe it or not, we don’t just want industry partners’ money,” says Richard Evans, the College’s CEO.
“We also want their expertise. Industry is carrying out its own research, much of it groundbreaking. Radiographers are interested to know what is ‘round the corner’ and are more than happy to provide feedback about possible future changes in the clinical environment," he adds.
“The College holds an ever increasing range of conferences, seminars and events, for which we need interesting speakers and presenters.”
