CoRe learning

A new online learning resource offers radiographers the opportunity to share best practice with the worldwide profession.

CoRe-learning – developed by the College of Radiographers and Philips Medical – offers a range of courses, covering key elements of imaging and oncology. The catalogue of more than 100 modules will be added to as new ones are developed.

“If a department is doing something innovative, pushing the boundaries and improving quality of care, they now have a platform from which to share it,” says SoR immediate past president Michael Graveling.

“A module is created, the College provides accreditation and Philips hosts it. Radiographers the world-over will benefit from this high value and accessible form of learning.”

Browsing through the course catalogue provides information about the content, author and cost of each module. The system also lets the user know how long each one takes. Once the module is completed and the self-assessment test is taken, the activity can be recorded in the individual’s CPD Now portfolio.

“Radiographic practice in Britain is cutting edge and the rest of the world wants to learn from us,” said Michael. “CoRe-learning can facilitate that – it’s a very exciting development.”
